| If you're new to driving in this area in the spring, be aware of turkey vultures on the road. They DO NOT take off quickly! When the do take off, it's in the direction they are facing. If it's on the left side of the road facing right, it's flight path will take it directly into your path. Be careful! Deer and javelina are also out, so drive slow at night and watch for their eyes (Deer's eyes glow green in headlights). Slow down and enjoy the scenery. You'll save gas. |
